Stephen Miggas of Aerotype Arbordale

Fonts, type and calligraphy

An elegant release from Aerotype, the Arbordale design is a fluid, contemporary script. Refined without feeling stuffy, the design has a distinct charm; its ligatures, standard, and contextual alternates make the Arbordale typeface a versatile addition to any designer’s type library.
Other features include crossbar ligatures for common letter pairings, case-sensitive quotes and smart apostrophes. Arbordale Pro extends the character set to support Eastern European and Baltic languages.

Lettering and Signage Trends at the Grocery Stores

Fonts, type and calligraphy

Take a look at what’s trending in hand lettering and signage at local grocery stores with lettering artist, Jill Bell. From the casual chalkboard look, to corporate sign systems, see and hear what’s working, what’s not and why in this quick survey of seven stores in seven minutes.
Jill comments : I had a great time looking at these stores, talking to the employees and getting a take on what's going on with signage in grocery stores these days. Hope you enjoy the essence of what I saw and found out that's in this video.

How good does it get ?

There's a ton of good fonts stuff left over, so we'll probably pass along some of those into October and November. Unfortunately we didn't hear very much from our readers . . . too busy with social media to get involved -- but we had a great time and have included to some really beneficial goodies this month! Enjoy.

And, ... The Fonts Fest Continues!
