- Adobe Photoshop - Retouching Images
This site is pretty much strait forward, information wise. The author provides the reader with strait forward steps, dealing with retouching in general, blurring/sharpening an image area, lightening/darkening an image area, doge, etc. Also the author provides you with a total of three pages of helpful information. Overall, personally I think this web site does a better job of clearing up some confusion on retouching photos using Photo shop then our textbook. - Image Retouching 101
This site is really cool. There is tons of information on phot retouching. It has some pictures and gets really detailed by showing a picture and showing what would inprove it. It talks about tones, brightness, contrast, gamma (whats between black and white) and focus. The best part of this site i think is that it shows you how to figure out whats wrong with an image. - Image Retouching 101
I found this site to be very helpful in understanding the details behind making an image look its best. I was introduced to the 0-255 brightness scale, which I was previously unaware of. This scale is supposed to more accurately allow you to play with the tones and colors of an image or a photograph. I also learned the importance of the brightness, the contrast and the gamma tools. These are all important elements in achieving the appropriate intensity of the tones without shifting the colors. I think this guy really knew his stuff and he conveyed it very well. - Photoshop Additional Topics
This site provided clear definitions of the usage of the airbrush, rubberstamping, smudge tool, pencil and dodge tool as to why they are important in photo retouching. However no visual examples were provided which made it very difficult for me to visualize the different techniques they were explaining. The only other helpful advice the site offers is percentages to set the airbrush or the smudge tool when retouching so you don't over or under do it. - Special FX- Tutorials (Portal)
By sensing the terms that the web site is using (such as Rap Style, or like :)...etc) visitors might think this web site is not that professional. However, once the visitors find out the specific tips of info that they want to learn, this web site offers you the knowledge by step by step. Further more, instead of just showing the information, this web site actually compares with the actual Image as they go through the information of tool bars and palettes. The only problem is, it will not be that easy to click the right button. They sure did a poor job on positioning the button.
