- Layer Masks and Blending Modes
This wesite contains tutorials on all the areas of photoshop. I concentrated on Layer Masks and Blending Modes. What I really liked about this site was that it contained a gallery of things that the owner/creatore of the website had created using the tips he teaches the visitor about. It also contains a whole page of links to go to having to do with the same subject . The Layer Masks and Blending Modes page is a step by step tutorial with a picture of an eye to download and work on right along with the directions. It makes it pretty easy to follow along and learn how to apply the masks to a layer and use the differnt blending modes on a layer. - Tips- Brushes in Photoshop 7
In this Report or Tutorial, Mr. Arraich starts off with the basics. There are many different tutorials to choose from. His website leads the reader through basic steps as if the reader is walking through them. He uses many cliches, but provides hope for the reader. He goes through steps of the settings, how to save new brushes created, options, altering, presets, dymanics etc. Pictures are shown under section so that the reader can visually see where to make changes and get to the options. I learned alot about the brushes and the different techniques. Departments/Topics: Photoshop Resources Report and -- Site content author: Jay Arraich. - GFX
This web site taught about layer masks and blending modes on an eye picture. First of all, you have to duplicate the eye in various layers (a total of 3 copies). Two copies of the image were enlarged and third done with a colored pencil effect. One enlarged copy was partly selected and a mask was added so that you could see through to the other layers. After blending and merging the different eye images, color gradation was added for the final touch. Departments/Topics: Photoshop Tutorial Report and -- Site content author: Trevor Morris. - Image Blending
This website is informative and teaches how to apply gradient layer masks. Basically the site teaches how to blend two images so that it appears as one image that blends in to the other, with one of the layers being on top of course. It mainly reinforces or rather sharpens one's skill with the layer tool to gain a smooth picture that looks as though that is how it was really taken. Very informative, if it was a video in quick time it could have been better. Departments/Topics: Photoshop Tutorial Report and -- Site content author: n/a. - layers masks and blending modes
It is a great site that takes you step by step through creating layers and the different desired affects you can gain from manipulating multiple layers all at once and merging their affects together. It uses different masks and tools on a few different layers to give the user examples and training for many situations. - Masks and Channels - Photoshop 7
This page is a link of the main page that has an overview of Photoshop 7. It has many topics in photoshop under "masks and channels". Some of the topics included are creating a quick mask selection, editing and saving the masks, and the extract feature. When one clicks on these links, there will be the categories listed and a short paragraph explaining how to use them. This site seems very useful for pinpointing a specific area in Photoshop 7 that one needs further instruction on. - Layer Masks and Blending Modes
This website actually teaches you techniques on photoshop, specifically layers and blending modes. This website reiierates what I already learned, only it went further talking about special effects using the filter selections. This website is more like a class itself than getting tips. - Layer Masks and Blending Modes
This is an excellent site that describes precisely how to use all the layers and blending options. Some of the pictures are even animated. The site goes into great detail of techniques of brushes, all kinds of masks, adding gradients, and so on. The tutorial states exactly how many pixels that eac of the moves that are made should be. This is actually a site where you can download the things that they are talking about and do all of the options on your own home computer. You can follow along and learn a lot about layers, masks, and blending at the same time. Departments/Topics: Photoshop Tutorial Report and -- Site content author: T. Morris. - Masks and selections
This site is filled with tutorials and techniques ranging from the basic use of channel masks, to using specific tools -ie magnetic lasso, to joining 2 seperate photographs without using any selection masks. It also has alot of well related links, but alot of the page is filled with advertisemnts for things like cell phones. Overall it's a good site though if you want quick tricks or in depth tutorials.
