The site I went to I realize is not exactly formatted for Os X or greater, (it appears to still be in 9) but I feel most of the information would have been the same. I found this site to be very helpful and easy to understand. Here one can become familiar with the software. I paid attention to the different menu, tool, and palette options available. I also thought the links that gave information to the menu toolbar were great too. One can find them by clicking on the menu button of the main tutorial page. This site is a very large tutorial with several pages of basic to in-depth info on the best ways to create and change images with Quark Xpress.
