  In this tutorial, I found a hint as to how to recover a deleted layer by pressing Control and Z or retrieve a deleted layer which was deleted a few moves back by pressing Control and Alt and Z which is good for me since I tend to make a lot of mistakes.   Applying layers allows total control over a piece of work. Layers can be locked, reorderd, hidden, etc. These functions that adding layers provide make creating a piece of work more simple and can make the piece more intracate. In the main page the basics were reviewed, such as how to create, delete,rename, hide or display a layer. Through the links on the page, however, the site discusses how to use the layers.   This tutorial explains how to use Photoshop 7 in nine different sections, from the basics of the program to repairing photos. I took a closer look at section three: layers. This layers tutorial gave step by step written instructions on how to create layers, masks, and use specific layering effects. Though these instructions were clear, I would have been able to comprehend more easily if these steps were followed by visuals as well. • Adobe Photoshop 7: Layer Basics
  This site is an excellent tutorial that demonstrates how to use layers in Photoshop7. There are three parts to this particular page, the first being "Layer Basics." From this page you can read the fundamentals of using layers, and you can click on links that will take you to "Working with Layers" and "Advanced Layer Options." Both of these pages are very detailed, complete with labeled diagrams of the layer palette. When a new phrase or idea is introduced, there is a link that takes you to the part of the page with information on that specific idea. It is a very helpful site. Posted on Tue Aug 31 15:02:50

  This helpful tutorial explains the importance of layers and their uses. It has a picture diagram illustrating each and every button and function of the Layer Palette. The tutorial also shows you how to switch and move layers. This site also contains other helpful diagramed tutorials for Photoshop 7. Posted on Mon Sep 6

  This photoshop tutorial emphasized some basic rules involved with layers. It began with an explanation of how the activity of layers affects what changes can be made. The tutorial proceeded with a basic overview of the layers palette and the purpose of each icon.
