FutureShock by Jim Rinaldo could very well be the first GRUNGE font! In the past, there were creative typefaces. Master craftsmen worked long, hard hours to create beautiful designs. The voices of these typefaces sang in a melodious symphony, caressing the pages the lay on. __ But then the accident hit. A LinComputronic CloneSetter 9000, running MouseScript 200, was processing chromosomes. Something went wrong (possibly dust on the mirror). Out came FutureShock II. This half-breed typeface was inspired by a classified ad I saw in the Sunday Boston Globe. __ Note how the letters are merged into each other; note how the F looks like it was axed by its little brother; the G has a growth, the D trying trying to shied itself from toxic rays and rain. __ FutureShock II is an original typeface by Jim Rinaldo, Tech. Editor of the Computer Aided Publishing Group of the BCS, was inspired by a Sunday Boston Globe Ad that had a similar custom font. __ Download this font in The Publishers'Warehouse. Read the enclosed doc, all Jim asks is "BuzzyWare" -- which meand: If you find it useful, send him $4-5 so that I can buy a Buzzy Burger and onion rings. (All roads lead to Buzzy's Roast Beef!) __ And you thought Carole's Chunks font was ugly! |
