Reader Reviews of Web Sites

Joyce and Fred peek in on the
PowerPoint Tutorial Site
Joyce sez:

When I arrived at the PowerPoint site, the first thing I notice is a very interesting home page is laid out very nicely. The curtains are a cleaver background and the color combinations work well together. This page invites me to explore further.
__ I particularly like the dialog between Jim Jingle and Sue Special. I was so into the dialog I almost forgot I was supposed to be critiquing the site.

__ I don't usually go for frames, but it's a good use of them here. Though they are not absolutely necessary I believe it does help the loading time, seeing there are so many great pages.
__ I especially like how the text is aligned differently and the color changes for each speaker, Jim Jingle, Sue and PowerPoint.
__ The character drawings are wonderful, upbeat and cheerful, it really helps what could be a boring topic. There are plenty of screen shots and the instructions are numbered step by step. I particularly like numbered steps when you are teaching beginners, no matter what the age. What a great and fun way to learn a program. Ok, so it's designed for K-12 but hey, us adults like to have fun too!
__ I want to list this site on learning Resources page I have on some of my sites! There are little quizzes, power pointers and even a printed version with instructions on how to print.
__ This site contains all the elements I find important. It serves a purpose, and it does it in an entertaining way, which is also a visual treat.

Fred, I DARE YOU to find something wrong with this one!
