This was part of our "Killer Web Site" workshop given at
Multicom this year. We showed it again to our Macworld seminar attendees. Watch for
a diagramed version in the Photoshop Seminars area. |

To zero in on the best potential customers, qualify them right up front. We ask the
question, “Need a quick...” in large type so it’s read quickly at a glance.
__ Next the photos have been turned into snapshots,
and arranged a bit more casually. We’ve reversed the wrench and the race car to draw
the reader’s attention into the center of the copy well. Then that lovely waterfall
photo directs the eye directly down into the message.
__ We don’t need to say “We can help...” but drive right
into the most important selling points... handled as bullet points. Rather than the
lengthy, wordy links in the ‘before’ we highlighted just the essential words.
__ Note that the hole is gone, the negative space points
to the content, and the page is shortened to a single screen, eliminating scrolling.
