Why are we doing this? (please read the following short message.)

One designer recently said "You learn good design by looking at bad design." ... another states "You learn good design through the works of others." Well both of these are correct -- but only to a certain point.
__ We believe that you learn good design through the works of others only when you make an effort to actually evaluate the work and state why you think it works or doesn't work. Only then do you actually make it part of your knowledge-base.
__ We're all born with the same set of tools. Those you develop and 'grow' are the ones that become the ones you use for life -- the effective ones.
__ If you find a site you like state why you like it. If it doesn't work, state why -- regardless of whether or not you tell the rest of us about your feelings. Just do it!
__ You can use the same form to file your review... just put the SITE NAME or URL in the URL field of the form. If you discover a site not listed that you think the rest of us will benefit by, please pass it along.
And, as we've said, if you'd like the opinions of your peers, just list your own site.



Reviewers: what to look for
Speed of loading (use your browser's 'document info' command)
Use of graphics, type, white space and eye-appeal
Intelligent, logical navigation and use of web technologies.
Is there SPAM? Banner ads, indication of cookies or javascript in use?
