- Drunk driving morning after test
- People don't realise they are still over the limit the morning after, nor did I, till I got caught! This web site is designed to help you see how long alcohol stays in your blood system for. I have a page that allows you to enter the drinks you have drunk, it then tells you amount of hours the alcohol stays in your systems for. Please note the drink test should only be used as a guide to how long you should wait to drive!

http://www.webucator.com/WebDesign/Dreamweaver.cfm - Nat Dunn, posted for review on: 0406-01 - Dallas Preschool Coop
- First of all, thanks! I made this site for my wife's preschool. The school is on a very tight budget but was in need of a presence on the web mainly to recruit new families. This is my first attempt at publishing a site. The ladies at the school think it's great already, but I'm not satisfied and know there are many things here that could use some help. I've had the hardest time choosing a font that is right for this content. Another thing I'm not sure about is whether or not I should split the content into more pages as not to have just pages of reading. I'm sure any one of you guys would have probably more severe recomendations, I just seem to have hit a wall as far as other ideas. (Non-profit, accredited cooperative preschool established in 1951 is located in Dallas, Texas)

http://www.tdsb.on.ca/ - Submitted by: alan milller, posted for review on: 4/27/2004 - University of Utah Continuing Education
- This site is for students and potential students who would like to view the classes Continuing Education offers, and register/pay online. This site has just been redesigned, with a more user-friendly navigation design. Is there any information missing that you'd like to see? Does the navigation make sense? Any terminology that is unclear? thanks!

www.readfaster.com - Posted by: Lance Leishman, posted for review on: 0402-23 - University Hospital Research Lab
- Site is to give information on our lab... there are two primary audiences- current and former lab members, who look for lab meeting schedule, journal links and current protocols, as well as email address and home phone numbers (password-protected) people interested in coming to our lab. Hopefully they get an idea of the social atmosphere of the lab as well as our current research interests we are a part of the University of Toronto; we are a separate research institute located in Mount Sinai Hospital: none of these have a .org or .edu; in Canada we use .ca for these for some reason...

- I created this site to try to bring to the public's attention the imminent threat of oil depletion. The site involves a great deal of information and charts, and I spent some time trying to decide the best way to show this. This is one reason I chose frames even though they can cause problems. I am particularly interested in whether the site is easy to use for the newcomer, and the charts work.

Reviewing Web Sites
One designer recently said
"You learn good design by looking at bad design."... another states
"You learn good design through the works of others."
Both of these are correct -- but only to a certain point. We believe that you learn good design through the works of others only when you make an effort to actually evaluate the work and state why you think it works or doesn't work. Only then do you actually make it part of your knowledge-base. We're all born with the same set of tools. Those tools you develop and 'grow' are the ones that you use for life -- the effective ones.
If you find a site you like, make an effort to state why you like it. If it doesn't work, state why -- regardless of whether or not you tell the rest of us about your feelings. Just do it!
