Our Source
The site is online to provide different things for members and funny and interesting videos. I would like you to check out how my windows open and the videos, the content in general; my goal was to be completely random and fun. - Sent in by: Skinnyed, posted for review on: 0610
Popular proxy site & a few tutorials
A small website I created about 2 years ago, which hosts a ever-growing proxy list. Also hosts several web tutorials. Will be getting a real domain and hosting soon. But first needs a better web design. However, I have no eye for web design. I can't tell what looks good and what doesn't. - Sent in by: Alex, posted for review on: 0610
seaSons - the journal of a wonderer
The site is my personal blog, hosted by Blogspot and using their template designed by Douglas Bowman. I do not want to chase 'hits' or popularity; all I want is that visitors find their way about easily and will return for the content. My intention was to design a site with a very simple interface using a lot of white space, without this being too obvious. I would like the reviewer to take note of the following; Use of white space, Choice of alignment, Quality of the navigation graphics in the sidebar, Ease of navigation, Choice of fonts, Choice of colors. - Sent in by: William Leamy, posted for review on: 0610
Sree's Tech Notes

You will be able to set up an online profile, and portfolio showing previous work, and projects you have completed, or are currently working on. UrbanProbe will work hand in hand with your current website, thus creating more leads and business opportunities. We just recently launched, so there is currently little content on the site, however, we are working on new functionality everyday to provide the best possible experience for our users. - Sent in by: Dennis, posted for review on: 0610

[Note: seems like this site is trying to spoof us into thinking it's a "personal" site... Is it? ] - Sent in by: Milos Mandic, posted for review on: 0610 ... [BEWARE: Converted to SPAM SITE] based on the "lush" theme for wordpress, works well in all browsers and at 800x600
the site is online so I have an outlet to comment on varoious tech stories, as well as a few other things. Notice that you can change the font size and the search bar. Try typing in "iPod" in the search bar. - Sent in by: therrol, posted for review on: 0610

Reviewing Web Sites

One designer recently said

"You learn good design by looking at bad design."
... another states
"You learn good design through the works of others."

Both of these are correct -- but only to a certain point. We believe that you learn good design through the works of others only when you make an effort to actually evaluate the work and state why you think it works or doesn't work. Only then do you actually make it part of your knowledge-base. We're all born with the same set of tools. Those tools you develop and 'grow' are the ones that you use for life -- the effective ones.

If you find a site you like, make an effort to state why you like it. If it doesn't work, state why -- regardless of whether or not you tell the rest of us about your feelings. Just do it!
