- Family Life Abroad - the expat place
- I started this site to keep from losing my mind when relocated to a small village in Poland - it's basically articles by me and other expatriates, who either voluntarily submit or whom I approach, on some aspect of daily life abroad - how to handle various stages of culture shock, the challenges of raising children and educating them, etc. I'm a non-paying market (and don't make money), but I attempt to keep the quality of writing high, loading articles with links to sites or pages that might add background, and only linking to sites that I really like or think useful. Is it too slow to load? Too many graphics? Too many links? I guess speed is my biggest concern - I think it's an attractive site, but I don't know how it appears on other browsers. The html needs to be cleaned up, but I'm not good enough to tackle that, so I just keep it online by copy-and-paste. I used Classification 11 - it's not a newsletter or zine that goes out, but I'd see it as more a literary site than personal homepage. Many thanks for any input.

- Dark Matter Magazine
- I created this site with two goals in mind: to create a unique webzine and sharpen my graphic design skills. Each month I create a new design for the site using graphics from the featured artist. I think the August 2003 issue was the best graphic design of all the issues. I'd like some feedback about the design of the site.

- The Apalachee Tortoise (Newspaper)
- The site offers information about the newspaper, ad rates, paper drop off points etc., and back issues (3 months worth) with a link to the local Independent Media Center for the current month's online version. Pay attention to the links, particularly on the back issues pages. Also layout of pages and how they complement or distract from the whole.

- Mooch
- Described by others as 'The new face of the internet' (SHOTS magazine) and 'super smooth' (USA Today). Mooch is a new type of targetted surf engine that selects sites which it's editorial team believe to be most relevant to it's audience. Run by a small team based in various locations in Europe Mooch was launched only two months ago but is attracting great interest from users and the press alike.

- Montana Outdoors magazine
- This site is intended as a reference to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Park's conservation magazine, Montana Outdoors. By featuring a synopsis of the current issue, and online articles from past issues, we hope to provide a place for interaction and feedback from the reader, to promote the magazine as a resource for educators and students, and to attract new subscribers. Since magazines are dynamic media, this website will always be a work in progress. We also hope to feature an online cross-referenced database to all past issues and stories in the near future. Since this is one of my first site designs, I would appreciate feedback and critique on how to streamline and improve upon the aesthetics, appeal and functionality of this web site. Thank you!
