Adobe Debuts Creative Suite 4
Milestone Release Turbo-charges Web Development and Interactive Design Workflows
How much to upgrade?
Since most of our readers already own a version of Adobe® Creative Suite® (CS, CS2, or CS3) we are posting the suggested retail for the various upgrades that are available to you. (Above, you see the relative retail prices for new purchases.) We are not showing the individual package upgrades simply because the pricing structures for each are so complicated and vague, you'll have to dig in and upgrade yourself. (All these names are ® registered for Adobe®, we may have missed a few.)
However: if you're upgrading TWO products, we believe you'll be coughing up at least $400 U.S. anyway, so it's actually more to your advantage to get the suite upgrade you use most. Remember, they'll be back in 18 months to upgrade you to CS5. You will get a break if you're hovering back there somewhere in CS2 if you upgrade before February.
We're also showing Adobe Photoshop ELEMENTS upgrades since this may be a viable alternative for you.
