In January* we presented "Illustrating with Soft Pastel" by Cher Threinen-Pendarvis, which featured the "SUN" painting by artist Pamela Wells. It was a real pleasure because not only did it illustrate the Painter tutorial, but also reacquainted us with our friend Pamela -- a Designing Women feature in our 2001!
WOW, after ten years, we see Pamela continues to work as a fine artist, commercial illustrator, graphics and web designer. Her design approach incorporates her interest and knowledge in the study of transpersonal psychology, integral transformative spiritual practice and the evolution of human consciousness.
Probably best known for her Affirmations for the Everyday Goddess, Spiritual Book and Wisdom Cards. (Based on the spiritual wisdom of the tarot) This creation has become a valuable tool for inner guidance for thousands of people world-wide, with their tarot-style readings for personal and spiritual growth.
She not only sells the card set, but posters and prints of her work as well. But we just enjoy focusing on her art -- the insight into the subject, then the delicate handling of the media, be it traditional media or electronic!
For those who want a truly rare piece of art, Pamela will create a Custom Goddess Portrait based on YOU, or someone you love! She will consult with you about your archetypal (symbolic) blueprint along with your own personal photos for reference. Together you will co-create an inspirational image that you will treasure for ever -- tapping into your Goddess Self!
Pamela also creates "Bravura style" paintings on commission, and for general sale. Bravura oil paintings are painted using the same methods of Impressionist painters to achieve direct, stylized brush strokes and bold color -- Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot Jean-Baptiste Guillaumin, and others.
