- November is upon us...
- This is our Thanksgiving month... we thank you for being loyal readers over the
years! This month we’re passing along some nice EPS clip art -- retro Thanksgiving
-- as a small ‘thank you’ gift. Watch the Publishers Warehouse too, because there
will be more than a dozen holiday additions arriving throughout the month.
- The Design Center has many gifts waiting for you in the Holiday
Goodies Section
- That’s http://www.graphic-design.com/PubWarehouse/index.html
.
- What else happens in November?
- November is also Child Safety and Protection Month. Please take a look around
your home as you prepare for the winter season ahead and make sure it’s child safety
minded. Next week you’ll want to join the folks over at www.fragrance.org as they
celebrate National Fragrance Week -- sniff, sniff. Speaking of sniffing, don’t laugh,
but November also happens to be National Peanut Butter Lovers’ Month and is headed
up by the American Peanut Advisory Board in Atlanta, GA. I can smell those peanuts
roasting now.
Of course the big date for those who reside in these United States of America will
be Thanksgiving. Hopefully during all the festivities and feasts, everyone will remember
the reason for celebrating Thanksgiving. We’ll have a page of holiday links posted
next week for those of you who would take the time for a little online stroll through
the holidays online.
__ While there seems to be some controversy over where
the first Thanksgiving dinner was held, we’re going with the traditional belief that
native Americans, and the Pilgrims arriving from England had their feast somewhere
near the shores of Plymouth Massachusetts. So, for November we’ll be in Plymouth
giving thanks and celebrating the season. Join us there for all the fun.
.
- New updates to the Design Center each week
- Stop in throughout the month because there’s so much happening in DT&G Magazine
online that we can’t possibly include everything here. We’ll have all new columns
by Joyce Evans, Dr. D’lynn Waldron, and some special new promotional articles to
name just a few. You can enjoy seeing some cool seasonal fonts from Garage Fonts,
and you can download a collection of new fonts which are perfect for your holiday
graphics and visual communications.
__ Folks, have a great month, and don’t forget to send
in those cards and letters. And, don't forget to join in the fun and celebration
all month long in Plymouth.

PS:
Folks, we can’t help you if you don’t
cooperate...
This month, more than 200 accesses (looking for that new EPS clip art disk) were
denied to the Publishers’Warehouse because the email address keyed into the UserID/Password
request was incorrect, or no longer in use. I find it hard to believe that people
would register for something and then drop the address.
. . . How do you expect us to send you the UserID/Password if you give us a non-working
email address. Yes, it is an automated listbot and it sends the info if your mail
is correct. We are alerted of "bounces" and this month I followed up with
EACH one ... getting the same bounce results.
. . . If you were rejected, then please try again and use a properly formatted and
functioning email address. Remember: no spaces, correct spelling. Dozens of
AOL users didn't put in "@aol.com" -- remember: name@aol.com, no spaces.
(We assume they were AOL since they had no "@" indicator.)
. . . Remember too, that once you arrive at the "Warehouse" you MUST key
in the ID and Password EXACTLY as was sent to you, upper and lower case, etc. We
recommend you use the number row on your keyboard rather than the keypad for numbers.
For some reason there has been problems with some users where the number row worked
when the keypad didn't. Strange, eh?
