Discovery Channel helps you teach, or learn - One of our favorite TV networks for fun, informative and clean content is the Discovery Channel. Right not you can find over 25 new teacher-created lesson plans on DiscoverySchool.com that can either stand alone or support the on-air video programs! These high-quality, comprehensive lesson plans focus on core topics like War and Peace- Real World Math- Bioethics and Paleontology for middle and high school families, as well as Ancient Greece, Measurement and Scale and Landmarks of Civilization for the elementary folks.

FDA provides mail lists to educate and inform - Two new lists have been added to a free FDA e-mail subscription service that now includes 14 lists that cover foods, drugs, devices, and other FDA-related topics. The primary mailing list is the FDA News Digest, which purveys Current FDA activities, with links to press releases, talk papers, and more.

Vocational education may be the key - I've said it once, and I'll say it again: College might not be for everyone. Vocational training plays a key role in the future of our comfortable ways of life. If everyone grows up to be doctors, lawyers and business people, who will maintain the roads, keep the power flowing, prepare the food, or fix our plumbing when it breaks?

Answers for free? - FreeAnswers.com invites you to solve your computer-related problems simply by asking questions in plain, everyday language to access knowledge bases of various vendors like Adobe, Intuit and Microsoft. They claim to be adding more vendors, so if the software you love (or love to hate) isn't listed yet, be sure to let them know about it.

Military history clips online - Warner Home Video has launched a mulitmedia web site for the new Military History collection. The 13 film collection covers some of the greatest military battles of the 20th century. The web site offers free streaming video clips from the DVDS'. Also, the site has a photo gallery and a link to the Warner Bros militay history discussion boards. Lesson Planner for Windows 1.3.0.0. - Lesson Planner for Windows is probably the best software available for creating lesson plans and writing schemes of work. This program is used worldwide by many school teachers of all levels to simplify the task of preparing interesting and stimulating lesson plans. Lessons can be made up of activities from your database, swapped with other teachers etc. If you keep worksheets, notes or activities on computer, then use the built-in Worksheet Organiser to keep track of them. Schemes of work were never so easy with mapping to your own curriculum to satisfy even the most blood thirsty school examiner.
