Four Issues of X-Ray Magazine for MUG Members
X-Ray Magazine, the definitive source for all things Quark, will send your members four complimentary issues of X-Ray Magazine -- completely free, no subscription required. How does it work?
X-Ray will create a unique URL (like the one below) and landing page for your users group within the X-Ray Magazine web site. It will be branded with your group's information and logo and will clearly define the four issues as a gift to your membership. (Be sure that you paste the entire link into your browser window to check this out.)
http://www.xraymag.com/local-cgi-bin/click.cgi?link=www.xraymag.com/quarkalliance_xray.htmlYou may send the URL to your members whom you believe to have an interest in our magazine's stories. At this registration page, the subscriber provides their name and address for mailing.
What will you get?
You may offer this as a gift to your members from your group. Your landing page will have a unique URL, your logo, and your message.
At the end of the campaign, and at your request, X-Ray will send you all names and contact information for the members that subscribed through your URL. Please encourage your members to share the link with their colleagues who might also be interested in the magazine.
What are the rules?
It's four free issues per registrant (1 per household, 1 per person at a business address). It cannot be combined with any other offer. It expires on 18 November 2005, and includes Volume 3 Number 5, Volume 4 Number 1, Volume 4 Number 2, and Volume 4 Number 3. Current subscribers who wish to take advantage of the offer will receive four additional issues added to the end of their current subscription. Free issues are mailed only to US addresses.
How do you sign up?
Send your MUG's name, self-promotion message copy for the landing page, group URL, and user group's logo (as a JPG) to cyndie_shaffstall at xraymag.com.
X-Ray creates a custom URL for the landing page for your group. Once the landing page is completed, you will receive the link via email.
Once your pages are live, you may promote the offer to your membership in any way you like. Your web site, an email, the group's newsletter, for instance. If you would like graphics and text to help you promote this offer, visit X-Ray Partners page
X-Ray Magazine will process all requests placed at your URL. Your members will receive their first copy of X-Ray Magazine in the mail about mid December.

"This publication and its association with Quark now put QuarkXPress in the forefront as we all would like it to be. With the article on QuarkXPress 7, I was sighing in relief and with a profound excitement that I did hold on to QuarkXPress," says Bill Nyman, Nyman Nouri Associates, Inc.
"We know that X-Ray Magazine is the best venue for spreading the word about the upcoming features of QuarkXPress 7," said Cyndie Shaffstall, publisher and editor of X-Ray Magazine, "and along with our articles for earlier versions, we have the opportunity to help customers make informed upgrade and cross-grade decisions.
"In Volume 3, Number 5, Trevor Alyn and I dig deep and expose the features of composition zones within QuarkXPress 7; an entire shift in workflow and productivity that makes QuarkXPress the most robust and appropriate tool for the publishing and advertising industries. Add this to the new color-based transparency and job-ticketing features to come in v7, and Quark will deliver the most exciting software upgrade seen in the last decade," added Shaffstall.
X-Ray Magazine, the definitive source for all things Quark, provides best-practices articles, step-by-step feature lessons, case studies, and new-feature previews about QuarkXPress, Quark Publishing System (QPS), Quark Dynamic Document Server (QuarkDDS), Quark Content Manager, and the customers and markets that Quark serves. Each issue contains articles and columns from leading practitioners in the fields of scripting, design, production, workflow, and enterprise publishing.
X-Ray Magazine is also the one-stop source for information about XTensions, new-product reviews, tips and tricks, and product shortcuts and secrets that can be used immediately to solve real-world problems in a workflow.
