FlashPoint - A New Generation in USB Flash Drives
redefined the concept of "pocket drive"
Xmultiple has redefined the concept of "pocket drive" three new models to the FlashPoint ShareDrive product line. The new models are the FP01-128, FP01-256 and FP01-512. In addition to the 1 Gigabit and 2 Gigabit models released last month, these models provide lower memory capacity models with 128k, 256k and 512k flash memory chips.
So what do most people say they keep on their thumbdrives? Well, recent studies show that the most popular information stored on thumbdrives was tools to repair computer problems.
* Tools like anti-virus software, security tools, unzip utilities, and anti spyware software.
* Home thumbdrive use is primarily for backup of important files and for MP3 files. Many users store Adobe pdf files used in their work, school or away from home needs.
* Webmasters save their most important web pages and their web page descriptions to their thumbdrive.
Now, think how great it would be in not only storing this information, but to share it with other users as well.
Xmultiple's FlashPoint ShareDrive.
Information gathered back from the first generation of FlashPoint ShareDrive customers, determined just how extremely flexibly the FlashPoint ShareDrive capabilities really are. No longer is a USB flash drive limited to being solely a storage device, but a new way to exchange information in mobility never before seen, until now.
With the FlashPoint Sharing-On-The-Go (SOTG) technology the use of the standard thumbdrive changes dramatically. FlashPoint ShareDrive flash memory, will become the inspiration for changing what is stored on a thumbdrive.
Thumbdrive users will now take a new approach with ShareDrives regarding what not only is just stored, but what needs to be shared. Now ShareDrive users will look at what information and files they want to share, without the aid from a computer or cumbersome USB hub products.
Business applications would include information such as datasheets, Powerpoint presentations, business cards in the form of Vcard's, trade show information, spreadsheets with pricing information or other information you want your customers or prospective customer to have.
Personal applications would include photographs, MP3 files, cell phone data, and video files. There are no limits on what FlashPoint ShareDrives can offer. The only limits are in your imagination.
The retail suggested pricing is $89 for 128K, $101 for 256k and $132 for the 512k model. Xmultiple released these new models after feedback from our customers determined there is a demand for lower memory capacity ShareDrives for their requirements. Users needed multiple thumb drives for storage of different types of data and information. Therefore the demand and a need for lower memory capacity USB thumb drives.
