iPhone News Scanner

specifically designed for the iPhone

iPhone News PageMacTech Magazine has announced the immediate availability of the MacTech Community News Scanner specifically designed for the iPhone. MacTech's Community News Scanner allows users to scan news from the best news sources around the Apple community in one easy view.

Based on MacTech's successful community news scan for full size browsers (see MacTech's home page and the dedicated community news page, the new version of the scanner has been specifically optimized for the iPhone. See screen shot

News items are updated every few minutes, aggregated and sorted by time to give those in the industry the most comprehensive and up-to-the-minute look across the community. Should a news story interest someone, they are just one tap away from the full story on the site who created the story.

"We originally designed the MacTech Community News Scanner for ourselves, and it's been a tremendous success for those in the community. Many readers tell us that they've been using it as their home page for some time," said Neil Ticktin, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of MacTech Magazine. "We've been testing a cell phone version for a while, so the iPhone specific version is a natural extension of that experience."

MacTech encourages users to give feedback on the MacTech Community News Scanner at feedback at mactech.com

About MacTech Magazine - Established in 1984, MacTech Magazine is the only monthly magazine focused on Macintosh at the technical level. Each month, MacTech and MacTech.com is read by over 125,000 technical Macintosh users in over 175 countries ... from network administrators to programmers, from solution providers to Enterprise, and in general anyone that's interested in the Macintosh beyond the user level. MacTech's approach has always been that of "How-to" as opposed to the "You can do this" articles in many magazines.

MacTech's web site includes not only the magazine's extensive archives and open source projects for the Mac, but also a community search engine and a news aggregator to keep readers up to date with one look across the community.
