Kenbushi Media

Brings Entertainment To Your Livingroom

Lava Software is now shipping Kenbushi Pro v7.3, free home server software containing a powerful media entertainment center (like AppleTV), file sharing and data backup functions. New features in this version include a complete Internet TV (video podcast) management system, 30 new Internet TV channels, additional methods to sort and filter Internet TV programs, an expanded setup wizard, stability improvements and a range of bug fixes. Versions are available for Windows and MacOS X.

To create a media entertainment center similar to AppleTV, simply install Kenbushi Pro on a Windows or MacOS X computer* and plug the computer into your TV set (or home theatre system) and Internet connection. The full-screen media control system in Kenbushi Pro puts your existing library of movies, TV shows, music and other media at your fingertips for easy browsing, fast searching and instant playback.

Detailed DVD and CD media information can be downloaded automatically from Amazon.com, allowing you to browse your movie and music collection by gorgeous cover artwork. This media information also allows you to find any movie on your media entertainment center within seconds by name, actor, genre, play time, MPAA rating, etc.

Kenbushi Pro also includes a complete Internet TV system which operates like a Personal Video Recorder (PVR), with gorgeous program cover artwork, detailed program and episode descriptions, and tools to monitor and control monthly download usage.

Over 200 specially selected high-quality free Internet TV programs are currently available such as ABC World News, Delicious TV Vegetarian, EdgeMusic, Gardening Australia, Golf Tips, Inside Martial Arts, MicrobeWorld, Movie Rush, National Geographic, NASACast, ON Warcraft, university lecture series (biology, chemistry, astronomy) and Good Game. New programs are added regularly to the program guide, and Kenbushi Pro automatically downloads program guide updates daily.

Kenbushi

Kenbushi Pro supports a very extensive range of standard and high definition (HD) movie and music formats including avi, mpeg, wmv, divx, mp3, aac, mp4, h264, mov, m4v, etc. It completely integrates it's media library functions with the powerful VLC media player, making it an incredibly versatile media player system.

It is also fully integrated with Apple's Quicktime, and automatically selects the appropriate media player for the media format selected. Since it uses Quicktime for music playback, it can directly play music purchased from the iTunes music store.

Kenbushi Pro works with the latest computer hardware and big screen TVs, but is also designed to run on older computers and TV sets (which only support 640x480 composite video) - rather than discarding an old computer, Kenbushi Pro can convert it into a powerful media entertainment center with file sharing and data backup. Almost any computer with a 1GHz or faster processor can provide excellent playback of MPEG4 video (the primary video format of Internet TV programs) with the installation of a low-cost video card with composite video output and built-in MPEG4 decoding.

An inexpensive wireless keyboard can be used for remote control and easy movie title searching from your livingroom couch. Most computers also allow you to easily increase storage capacity by adding hard drives, so you can build up an extensive media library.
* computers less than 5 years old are most suitable.
