Digital storytelling

fantastic complement to the iLife suite

memory minerMemoryMiner is an awesome new digital storytelling application for Mac OS X -- a fantastic complement to the iLife suite, and winner of a Macworld 2006 Best of Show award. MemoryMiner lets anyone zero in on stories depicted in their photos by linking them to each other based on people, places and time.

Drag and drop audio, video, URL's, etc. as attachments onto photos to add depth and context. Each photo thus becomes a frame in an endless storyboard which can be browsed by periods in a person's life, where people overlap, by place, by time, or any combination.

Users may create self-contained library documents to share with other MemoryMiner users, or export beautiful interactive web sites which can be automatically uploaded to a .Mac account or other web server. MemoryMiner also works seamlessly with PulpMotion in order to create stunning video presentations suitable for web, DVD or iPod/iPhone.

"MemoryMiner 1.8 was first shown at Macworld 2008, where it was extremely well-received," said John C. Fox, founder of GroupSmarts, LLC. "Everyone has stories to tell, and so many of these are locked away in old boxes of photos, or lost in a sea of new digital photos. MemoryMiner makes quick work of annotating and linking photos by people, place and time. Every gesture is rewarded downstream as you can publish compelling interactive websites, and with PulpMotion from Aquafadas, gorgeous video suitable for web, desktop and DVD."
